Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Baldwin, WI 54002

Senior Choir

We have a good choir at Gethsemane.  The choir is challenged with a wide variety of music that expands the breadth of musical expression within the church.  We welcome newcomers.  We have a good time as we prepare to lead the congregation in the gospel expression through music.  We sing during worship an average of two times a month and on special celebrative days.  The choir practices weekly on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., September through May.

Handbell Choir

The Handbell Choir represents a different musical expression of the gospel message.  Our Director takes whatever numbers that are available to play and adapts the music and its difficulty to those who come to offer to play in the Handbell Choir.  We have people of widely varied backgrounds in music playing in the choir -- some with experience in music and others with almost none.  We invite you to follow your calling to join them.   They currently practice on Tuesday evenings at 5:30 p.m. and play during worship an average of once a month, September through May.

Living Stones

The 'Living Stones' are a group of people who answered the call to bring a more contemporary expression of the gospel to the hearts and ears of Gethsemane.  All come from varied backgrounds with a love of music and the church, each offering their instruments and talents.  Currently the group has no leader but manages to share in the leadership.  They play about every 4 - 6 weeks, September through May.  We thank them all for their gifts.  Currently the group includes:  Wes Haney, Mark Perry, Beth Heutmaker, Ron Heutmaker, Dennis Soderberg, John Onkka, Rick Stone, Roger Evans and Victoria Lovestrand.

Joyful Noyze

This children's choir welcomes those in Kindergarten through 4th Grade to come and join also in the expression of the gospel.   They meet on Wednesday directly after school at 3 p.m. at the church.  Those coming from Greenfield school are walked over to the church by an adult, where treats welcome them before their energetic practice.  They sing in church about once a month, September through May.

Daily Verse

So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian, for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.  Galatians 3:24-26
